Mapping Racial Segregation in New York City
Based off the 2000 Census, Eric Fischer mapped out the city and is color-coded by race: white is pink (heavier concentrations look reddish), black is blue, Hispanic is orange, and Asian is green.
Sometimes Manhattan likes to let us know it’s angry by producing a ridiculously intense (and short) storm. Today’s order was thunder, lightning, a bucket load of rain, and hail.
I like to think the city is taking its anger out on the tourists who ride double-decker, open-topped buses.
Say what you must about my city, but we have the most gorgeous sunsets around.
