On Friday night, B and I had dinner with my parents and godmother at Jack the Horse Tavern in Brooklyn Heights. This might be one of my favorite restaurants, with great quality food and a fun, not-too-fussy atmosphere.
I had crispy mixed herb polenta with shiitake and oyster mushrooms and slow cooked egg, as well as maybe the best roast chicken I’ve ever had in my entire life (and I’ve had quite a lot in my time) with garlic-chive potato puree and summer beans.
