helms-deep asked: Hey, my Tumblr foodie buddy. Sounds like you've had a crazy month, so let's focus on the good: In the past month, 1) What is the best sandwich you've eaten? 2) What is the best dessert you've had? In the past 6 months, 3) What book/movie have you read/seen that has inspired you in some way? 4) When was the last time you laughed so hard it made you cry and what was the circumstance? And, finally, 5) What is the thing you enjoy the most about living in NYC? Hope life is treating you well.
Crazy month might just be an understatement! Let’s see here….
- I had a pretty good sandwich last weekend — grilled cajun chicken, roasted corn, and avocado on a baguette
- The best dessert I’ve ever had… this is a tough question. Choosing feels so wrong! But I’d probably have to say the bourbon bread pudding from Harvest in St. Louis
- “Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close” is my favorite book. A book has never made me cry like that (see: ugly cry). It’s fantastic.
- The last time I laughed so hard I cried… I almost did this yesterday during lunch. The caffeine kicked in and we were watching Family Feud. Whatever someone said must have been pretty hilarious.
- The thing I love most about New York City is that you can just exist here, walk around, have no one bother you, and just do your own thing. I love being social and being around people but it’s sort of lovely to put on your headphones and walk around Central Park for a few hours, or through the streets, and just sort of tune everything else out.
