V-Neck and a Cardigan

I eat food. I take photos. Sometimes I take photos of the food I eat.

Tumblr, I need your help!

So I have a bunch of friends coming over to my parents’s house tomorrow to have a day by the pool. Basically I’m hoping that it ends up like a pool party from 90210 (sweet jams included).

Here’s where you come in. They will be here for lunch and  dinner. I need meal suggestions for both. Dinner will most likely be a grilling bonanza… but then what do you make for lunch?

Help me!?

  1. daryn answered: get some really long loaves of bread, and make party subs you can slice into small pieces. Go gourmet with roast veggies, omelet, etc.

  3. mespetitsmots answered: here’s a dish that can transition for both:

  10. nibblesandbits answered: Pan bagna is my fave do-ahead lunch/light dinner with a salad. If you have lots of time, I’d also make cookies for ice cream sandwiches.
  11. haygirlhay answered: blts, club sammies, non mayo coleslaws, things that can sit out without worry of spoilage. heirloom tomatoes with olive oil and fresh herbs
  12. anyeverynothing answered: I totally was going to say chicken/tuna salad.
  13. inventionagain answered: let people graze on finger food. they want to be up and around talking and having a good time instead of sitting down for a meal.
  14. helms-deep answered: Maybe some light sandwiches, like tuna or chicken salad, a leafy green salad with lighter dressings Berries are still in season as well.
  15. dailykayla said: Finger foods are always good poolside. Fruit and veggie trays. Little deli sandwiches. Chips. Drinks. ….and I just planned a typical Midwest summer party. Sorry. I’m now a product of my environment. :)
